Ad Channels
If you're an influencer, pod caster, content creator, social media group, or anyone with a following, NewLIST Channels are a great way for you to earn new ad revenue. In this section, we'll discuss how ad channels work and how you can easily manage advertisers who post their ads to your channel.
Channel Concepts
Ad Channels are a kind search filter that shows advertisers who have chosen to list their ads with your channel. In exchange for your promotion of their ads, you receive a generous portion of their ad spend, usually half. Advertisers target their ads with certain channels with the expectation that channel admins, like influencers, will promote their NewLIST channel within their videos, pod casts, and other social media, to drive traffic to all of the advertisers on their channel.
It's win-win for the influencer and the advertiser.
Setting Minimum Points
As the channel admin, you need to think very carefully about what to set your minimum ad points to be for your channel. You need to be able to deliver a good ROI for your channel advertisers for them to keep their ads running on your channel. If advertisers don't soo some kind of traffic from your channel, they will leave for other channels that deliver better ROI.
Factors such as audience size, demographics of your target audience, and engagement rates are all crucial in determineing where to set your minimum points spend.
Because NewLIST is in every way imaninable a new media, we cannot answer this question for you. But we do have some suggestions to think about as you being your marketing journey with us.
- NewLIST is not intended to replace your existing ad revenenue stream via in-video ads; we hope to enhance your revenues as a kind of additional or "bold-on" revenue stream.
- If you can command $500 for one in-video ad with advertisers lining up to pay your rates, then your NewLIST channel should command some fraction of that $500 rate since you have multiple advertisers posting their ads with you.
- Assume you have 10 advertisers on your channel. Does it make sense to set your minimum points to $25 or $50 per week?
- Keep in mind that your channel advertisers are on a recurring weekly subscription and they see invoices from NewLIST each week. They are going to be checking to see how your channel ads perform.
- If your minimum ad points are low enough, you could attract many advertisers who essentially do a "set and forget" kind of arrangement with you. They are happy to be advertising with you on your channel no matter what traffic you generate, if the rate is low enough.

— View the ad.
— Comment on the ad for the brand to view.
— Email the brand with the approval status.
Approving Ads
Approving an ad to appear on your channel is as simple as clicking the Yes / No Channel control. The action will be saved automagically. You also have the option of sending the brand a standardzed email letting them know their ad has been approved for showing on your channel.
If you decide not to approve an ad, you can click the discussion icon button and leave the brand a brienf note as to why their ad was not approved for showing on your channel. For disapproved ads, click the email button and a standardized email will be sent to them letting them know that their ad as been declined.
Updated Ads
NewLIST takes the position that most channels will want to host ads on their channel. Once you approve a brand's ad to run on your channel, NewLIST makes the assumption that the brand is soeone you like and trust and is in harmocy with your audience. The breand will be allowed to update their ad without notice to you.
You should periiodically check your channel ads dashbaord to see which ads have been updated for whatever reason. The point is, NewLIST doesn't want to bombard you with emails and notifications each time a brand makes a tiny or even major change to an ad.
If a brand makes a change that is not in keeping with your personal standards, unapprove the ad to remove it from your channel.
